My wife's graduation invitation
Posted on: 04-28-2008
SPECIAL NOTE:
To family and friends who we were unable to contact, please accept this invitation to her graduation. Such short notice tends to make planning difficult and we fully understand, but if you are available, I would love to see you come out and support my favorite wife (Mormon joke... ha ha).
We are all very proud of her accomplishments and love her dearly.
Hope to see you there.
Now, on with the analysis:
I thought a simple but clean, with a few creative touches would suffice. A thick, dark (but not black) border to set off her photograph which extends well beyond the border gave it a sense of freedom.
I intentionally left the textured background on the left side of her photo because it added so much to the feel I was trying to achieve anyways. It also helped create an invisible line from the top left to the lower right.
