Okmulgee Lake Cook-Out
We had a great day today. I took the family down to Okmulgee Lake to visit my sister and dad and family at a GWRRA camp-out. They cooked a ton of fajita meat and everyone chowed down. Afterwards, me and Heather took Blake down to the lake and met Tab and Donnie and hung out down there for a bit. Blake was loving throwing stuff in the lake. A while later, Nathan and Katie showed up and started skipping rocks, too.
We walked up to the campsite and hung out for a bit. Blake was playing with one of Katies dolls. It's very unsettling for some reason to see your son play with dolls but he shortly used the doll to bite my neck so all was right with the world again :)
We had to leave so we hunted down Dad and Robin to say bye and ran across this awesome motorcyle thing. It had a Ford V6, two back wheels, a steering wheel, an automatic gear shifter, but one front wheel. It was pretty incredible. I've attached some pictures to this post. I also saw an old VW Beetle with a redone front end that had a bike tire connected to handlebars inside the cab! I attached some pics of this as well. We even checked out an RV that had a garage in it!
We eventually made our way back to the campsite and said our good-byes and headed out. Blake was upset when we left because he couldn't play with his new best friend, Donnie.
We made it back in time to babysit a couple girls from a family we know from church. They watched our boys on Thursday so me and Heather could have our second date in a year and a half! We watched their two little girls so they could go on a much-needed date as well.
Speaking of our date, we had planned out a more involved version but as our luck goes, we had some really bad storms come thru. Tornado warnings for an hour and a half put a damper on our adventures so we went bowling. Man, I sucked! I scored a 154...over two games! It was quite embarrassing but we had a blast together. We hit Braum's on the way home to eat a Brownie Fudge Sundae. Still my favorite!
Speaking of that storm, me and Nathan walked out back and watched the News On 6 weather helicopter fly directly over our house. It was cool looking at the TV and looking at the clouds in front of me and seeing the same thing! We watched the clouds and one of the wall clouds started to drop and form a funnel. I got my camera and snapped a pic just before it went back into the clouds. That was actually kind of scary watching it happen first-hand.
Anyways, if you're still reading at this point, you are probably really bored. My thoughts are kind of scattered about today but you get the idea!

Blake misses daddy ;)
