Vacation: Day 4

We arrived at Roaring River near Cassville, MO last night around 8pm. We checked in at the lodge and had dinner before settling in for the night. We slept in the next morning (fishing mistake #1) before taking the family on a quick tour of the campgrounds and hatchery. Man, it was so gorgeous down in the valley. The river was pretty crowded with fishermen but we tried our lucky anyway. I got a license and two fishing tags for me and Nathan. We didn't catch a dang thing. Nothing except the cold I am nursing today. We ate a late lunch at the restaurant and headed home. That drive is brutal once you hit the Oklahoma border. Of course, the fact that our vacation had come to an end might have made it seem a little longer than it actually was. Although I'm sad our first family vacation is over, I'm grateful everything went so perfectly and I look forward to another vacation next year!

My passions live here. Topics that I'm particularly passionate about, interested in, or whatever else I deem worthy to live here. It can get pretty scary in here.
